T.H.I.N.K Bracelets

I got an idea from Homeschooling-ideas.com We are trying think bracelets. THINK stands for Thoughfulness,Helpful,Intelligent,Necessary, and Kind. Think before you speak. They may be too young but we'll try it. We strung alphabet beads on a black narrow ribbon so far they have lasted but Jon can get out of his. The project cost $2.00 for the beads from the dime store and I already had the ribbon in my artsy box from another project.

Tanagrams

I printed out a tanagram patterns set from a montessori site and cut the tanagram from foam one set for each. I put a hole punch in the corner of the patterns to put them on a ring. This helps keep them all together better. Trick is they don't know they're learning math. Jon stuck to it better than Liz who was much better at doing this.

Days of Creation poster

We cut pictures out of magazines to make a days of creation poster. I plan to relate all our nature lessons back to our poster.

Found great deals

I was on call for work so I went shopping at Michaels arts and crafts store found two sets of double six dominos for $1.50 each, a snap card deck for $0.50, a recipe organizer for a $1.00, and a peg game for $1.00 Great deals in the after christmas bin. I was only looking for felt for my flannel board projects, which I found too. i spend less than 10.00 in the store. Christmas break is over tommorro.
